Languages Spoken: English
I began my career in mental health learning about traditional cultural healing methods (i.e. drumming circles, sweat lodges, botanical healing, etc.) and how they can be utilized in conjunction with psychotherapy and thus began my understanding of a more holistic approach to healing: mentally, emotionally, spiritually, and physically. I am originally from the Bay Area and moved to Los Angeles to attend graduate school. I am bilingual and Spanish speaker, daughter of immigrant parents (Mexican mother and Peruvian father), and the first in my family to attend college and graduate school. My pronouns are She/Her/Ella. I’ve been interested in healthcare for as far as I can remember being an EMT for 2 years, translating for doctors in Honduras delivering medical supplies, and ultimately becoming a therapist.
Fun Facts:
- I studied Japanese for 5 years in high school.
- I swam in a shark cage in Hawaii during a vacation (and would do it again!).
- I’m trying to improve my salsa dancing skills this year.
