Open Paths is a nonprofit counseling center and training agency that centers around the therapeutic needs of historically marginalized communities. We serve those who traditionally lack access due to financial, geographic, and/or cultural barriers. Your work with Open Paths will make a difference in their lives.

OPPORTUNITY

  • Opportunity to participate in our trauma intensive program
  • Opportunity to specialize in Intimate Partner Abuse and Violence Therapy Program
  • Opportunity to train through an LGBTQI+ Affirmative lens
  • Opportunity to facilitate group therapy, including starting your own therapy group, with approval

COMMITMENT

  • Be in alignment with Open Paths’ mission, vision and values
  • Commit to a 12-month contract
  • Commit to initial three-month (90 min/week) Clinical Professionalization Class with clinical director
  • Commit to providing both in-person and virtual therapy (new clinicians will start in-person, once it is safe to do so)
  • Maintain a 10 client caseload after the first three months of contract
  • Attend weekly trainings from 1:00-3:00 pm every Thursday, in addition to supervision requirements
  • Commit to working at least one weekday evening and part of a weekend, if needed
  • 9-month minimum serving one of our partner organizations or schools in underserved communities (5-hours / week at site and 5-hours / week at Open Paths or virtual)
  • Must have had at least one year of psychotherapy, or currently be engaged in therapy
  • Must be vaccinated for COVID-19, Per LA County Dept. of Public Health Requirements
