Hi! My name is Sara and I am a first-generation Moroccan American woman and a Los Angeles native. I am currently pursuing my masters in Marriage and Family Therapy at Antioch University, Los Angeles. Growing up in a culturally rich and diverse city has shaped my understanding of the unique identities, experiences, and stories that we all carry. I have experienced first hand how the systems we are exposed to can have a huge impact on our mental health and hope to work through these barriers in our work together.
I believe therapy is a space where you feel seen, heard, and empowered to define and cultivate your own path. I have worked in the mental health field for over 5 years and have experienced first hand the transformative effects of therapy and hope to incorporate this experience within our sessions. It is important in my work as a therapist to utilize an integrative, individualized, and trauma-informed approach to therapy, incorporating behavioral and somatic modalities and tailoring our sessions to what would best fit your needs. I believe every client is the expert of their own life and will work with you to use your power to create change. My approach to therapy is providing a non-judgmental, affirmative, and compassionate environment that will honor your personal and cultural identity and help cultivate the groundwork for healing. Regardless of what you are navigating, I strive to create a collaborative environment where your power and story are always centered. My goal is to support you in moving towards building a life that is authentic and fulfilling to you!
