Hello! My name is Pigeon Provost (they/them) and I am a Marriage and Family Therapy trainee studying Clinical Psychology with an emphasis on LGBTQ2IA+ Affirmative Therapy at Antioch University!

Alongside my B.A. in Psychology & Theatre at the University of San Diego, my experience working with neurodivergent children in various schools and homes across San Diego and Los Angeles county propels me to support individuals and families through many lenses:

As a video game geek and formally video game addicted child, I am interested in exploring the impacts and roles that video games and social media play on family functioning, wellness, and togetherness. In a rapidly increasing and ever evolving online world, it makes sense that rifts form in our capacity to remain personally attuned with each other. Across the world we’re more connected than ever. At the same time, loneliness is on the rise. Let’s see what we can do.

As a nonbinary and queer practitioner, I experience the systems in place that support binaries; Good vs. Evil, Healthy vs. Unhealthy, Right kind of queer vs. Wrong kind of queer, and many many more! In session, my wish is for you to feel heard and supported as we navigate these binaries and I invite you to hold that wherever you are: In, out, or anywhere around “the closet”, you are valid.

Finally, as a humanist, existentialist, and narrative oriented therapist, I hold that in this world what hurts us is often much more accessible than what heals us. Merely visiting this page shows a dedication to your health that is not intended under our colonized, patriarchal, and gentrified roots, so thank you. Keep going, and let’s explore what is hurting, healing, and everything between, together.
