Languages Spoken: English
Hi! My name is Pamela (she/her), and I am a Marriage and Family Therapist trainee completing my Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology at Antioch University, with a specialization in trauma. My approach to therapy is eclectic and holistic, shaped by 28 years of experience in the healing arts as a neuromuscular therapist, where I witnessed firsthand the incredible wisdom of the body and its ability to guide us toward healing. I deeply value the mind–body connection, believing the mind and body are always in conversation with one another, and when we learn to listen to that connection, profound growth and transformation becomes possible. From this understanding of the mind-body connection, I incorporate somatic awareness into my work with clients.
In therapy, I strive to meet my clients exactly where they are. I hold the belief that each person is the expert of their own life, and my role is to walk alongside them with curiosity, compassion, respect, and openness. It is my intention to create a safe, nonjudgmental space where clients feel welcome to come as their authentic selves and explore what healing and wholeness look like for them. I view therapy as a collaborative and empowering process – one where we work together to uncover your strengths, honor your story, and explore new ways of moving forward.
As a queer person and social justice activist, I am proudly LGBTQ+ affirmative and committed to inclusion. My clinical training at Antioch is grounded in a social justice lens and trauma-informed care. I am certified in TF-CBT and integrate mindfulness practices to help clients act with greater intention and self-compassion.
Beyond my clinical work, I volunteer with Feed the Streets, a non-profit organization providing meals to the unhoused and food-insecure. I am also a breast cancer survivor, an experience that has deepened both my empathy and my belief in the resilience of the human spirit.
