Justin JuÁrez, Associate – Intake Therapist, LMFT

Welcome to my little slice of Open Paths page.
My name is Justin, and I serve as the Intake Therapist at OP. In this role, I work to strengthen and streamline the intake process while also supporting and training new clinicians as they begin their journey. I also conduct intake assessments and provide therapy to the community members we serve.
As a therapist, I create a nonjudgmental, culturally affirming, and decolonized space where clients can explore their relationships—with their environment, themselves, and the challenges they face. My approach is collaborative and strengths-based, helping clients build on their inner resources to develop confidence, resilience, and a greater sense of agency in their lives. Drawing on my training in EMDR, I support individuals in processing and reducing the impact of trauma by shifting how those experiences are accessed and held.
Before entering the field of mental health, I spent many years in corporate Human Resources. I ultimately chose to pursue a more meaningful path, earning my degree in Clinical Psychology from Antioch University. My work at Open Paths reflects a core belief: everyone deserves access to quality therapy grounded in a genuine, person-to-person connection—something essential to the human experience.
