Jennifer Polutan, MFT Trainee
Languages Spoken: English
Hello, my name is Jennifer Polutan and I am earning my Master’s in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy at Pepperdine University. In addition, I have an MA in International Development where I focused on the intersection of gender and social justice. My current career is in higher education as an academic program manager where I support working professionals in realizing their personal and professional goals. I am excited about this career transition to mental health therapy because it will allow me to work directly with clients to help them deepen their self-awareness in a warm, safe, nonjudgmental space.
I have worked in domestic and international environments, so I hope my diverse cultural experiences illuminate my holistic approach to therapy which is driven by empathy, compassion, and empowerment. My therapeutic approach aims to operate from a trauma informed, culturally sensitive, and culturally competent lens. I look forward to this collaborative relationship where we can explore the impact of your culture on your well-being. Through this exploration, we can assess strengths, build resilience, and examine emotions for self-growth.
