Gina Deutsch-Zakarin has been a licensed psychotherapist in Los Angeles since 1991 and a Director of Open Paths Counseling Center’s Board since 2017. She has also served as a clinical supervisor for Open Paths.

Gina has dedicated much of her professional and volunteer life towards the improvement of community mental health, social and economic equality, and environmental quality.

She has served on the diversity boards of four different schools in Los Angeles and is the former Social Justice Chair at Kehillat Israel Synagogue in Pacific Palisades. In addition, she has been involved with numerous charities focused on the ways we must improve the world to leave it better than we found it.

Gina is a proud mother of two sons and has been partnered with her husband for over thirty years.
