My name is Demetra and I am a Marriage and Family Therapy trainee pursuing my Master’s degree at Pepperdine University. I am passionate about the healing power of connection, curiosity, and growth, and I aim to work collaboratively with clients to create a safe and supportive environment.

Growing up, the only therapy I had known were my own words, the ones written into journals hidden carefully around my bedroom. As the biracial daughter of immigrants, I believed my experiences with oppression and micro-aggressions were too unique to be understood by anyone else, leaving me feeling alone in my struggles. And I think in the primarily white neighborhood I grew up in, I think I was. There was no one to speak up for me and so, over the years I learned to advocate for myself. It was a survival skill that has since developed into one of my greatest strengths as I advocate for others. No one should ever have to feel unseen or unsupported. Whether you are carrying trauma or working through life’s challenges, my hope is that you never feel alone.
