Shreya Vanwari, MFT Trainee

Languages Spoken: English & Hindi

Hi! My name is Shreya (she/her) and I am currently pursuing my Master’s of Science in Marriage and Family Therapy at the University of Southern California. As a first generation South Asian immigrant, I understand the experience of navigating the interplay of culture, identity and immigration. I approach all my work with cultural humility, a trauma-informed lens and open-mindedness.

I am committed to bringing my non-judgmental self and unconditional empathy to help you navigate whatever you choose to bring into the space. I operate from a person-centred approach but integrate other therapeutic approaches into my practice as I firmly believe each person is unique and an expert at their own experiences, and I strive to meet you where you are at. I look forward to working with individuals from different backgrounds and I truly value you and what you bring to the space. I am also particularly passionate about working with individuals who have undergone traumatic experiences and helping them on their healing journeys.

I understand that starting therapy can be overwhelming and I have first-hand experience of how different cultures perceive therapy differently. We can take this journey together step by step and at your own pace. I look forward to meeting you!
