Shakira Gagnier

Shakira is the Co-Founder of YolkLab, a leadership development consultancy that specializes in helping organizations enhance their team operating systems to achieve high performance, positive team norms, and consistent expectations amidst constant change and disruption. She has consulted with companies like Netflix and NerdWallet to develop the next Gen of leaders. Shakira also heads LightBay’s Foundation, partnering with organizations such as the Girls Academic Leadership Academy, Junior Achievement SoCal, and LA Room and Board.

Throughout her career, Shakira has held transformative roles across the entertainment industry, focusing on people development and diversity initiatives. She served as VP, Diversity, Equity & Inclusion at Paradigm Talent Agency, Director of Learning and Development at WarnerMedia, Vice President of People, Diversity, Inclusion & Engagement at Fullscreen/Otter Media, and Senior Manager of Learning and Organizational Development at Universal Music Group. At Paradigm, she launched the “Agents of Change” program to spotlight BIPOC community partners like ReelWorks, GLAAD, Color of Change, and The Oscars Diversity Governors.  At WarnerMedia, she played a key role in producing the first virtual Global Enterprise Inclusion Race Equity Intensive for HR professionals across eight countries. At Fullscreen, she established the company’s first people development department and created “IGNITE,” a leadership program with a 50% gender parity among emerging leaders. At Otter Media, she co-led “We Gather,” a content-rich conference featuring diverse women speakers to empower the female workforce. Additionally, she served on the board of Universal Music’s Women’s Network, a community of over 500 women across several record labels.

Outside of her professional work, Shakira is passionate about cycling at SoulCycle and investing in community partnerships and local businesses. She actively champions education and diversity initiatives as a Board Member of Project Optimism, Open Paths, and as a founding member of the Diversity Committee for the Brentwood School in Los Angeles.
