I am currently completing my Masters Degree in Clinical Psychology at Antioch University, specializing in Trauma. I am Native American, African American, Italian, and Irish. By integrating the communal beliefs of my cultures, I hope to create a safe authentic space for you to reflect and process your experiences.
I have facilitated group work with families, utilized trauma informed care and psychoeducation with survivors of intimate partner violence, and supported children experiencing aversive childhood events.
I like to approach therapy through a psychodynamic and humanistic approach. I believe that by looking into our shadows and embracing them, we can learn to love the good and bad parts of our human experience. Through curiosity, reflection, and our alliance developed through therapy, we will work towards developing resilience and tolerance to the challenges you face in life.
“When I look at the world I am pessimistic, but when I look at people I am optimistic.” -Carl Roger
