My name is Christianna (pronouns: they/them/fae/faer), and I am a Marriage and Family Therapy trainee pursuing my Master’s degree at Pepperdine University. Growing up in a Black and Puerto Rican household, I have seen how stigma and lack of representation can prevent people from accessing life-changing care. I am excited to work with individuals of all ages, families, and couples toward mental and emotional well-being. I invite my clients to join me in a culturally sensitive, LGBT+ affirming, decolonized space.

As a nonbinary person, I know how personal gender expression and sexuality is. Let’s talk about pronouns. Let’s discuss the complexity of your sexual orientation. Let’s debate whether or not it is safe for you to come out right now. I hope to be a haven for any queer person on a journey to be who they are in a world that can be unwelcoming.

I found my way to the field of psychotherapy rather indirectly. I began in fine arts but pivoted when I felt drawn to activism. After performing outreach for sex workers for several years, I noticed how many sex workers were searching for a therapist who would not pathologize their career choices. Sex workers often struggle to find culturally sensitive therapists willing to treat their work just like any other form of work. If you are face-out or closeted, working consensually or under duress, I am here to support you.
