Alyssa Habschmidt, MFT Trainee
Languages Spoken: English
Hi! My name is Alyssa (she/her), and I’m a Marriage and Family Therapist trainee. I am currently pursuing a Master’s in Clinical Psychology at Antioch University. I am Chinese American, and as someone who grew up in Los Angeles, I identify with a variety of combined cultures. I firmly believe in holding space, being in the present moment, and meeting you where you are. I strive to cultivate a safe, compassionate, and nonjudgmental space to bring all parts of yourself to whatever degree feels most comfortable and authentic. Through my own relationship with therapy, I have experienced healing and growth. I trust in the power of therapy to help understand and uncover thoughts and emotions, both conscious and unconscious.
My approach to therapy is through a compassionate, trauma-informed, culturally sensitive, and LGBTQIA+ affirming lens. I am passionate about working with people who are healing from the effects of traumatic experiences and respect the courage and vulnerability it takes to engage in the deep therapeutic work of getting to know yourself better. I work with all races, ethnicities, sexualities, religions, backgrounds, and life experiences. I will help you explore your inner world and discover your strengths and resources. Together, we will process whatever aspects of yourself you wish to bring into the space, and I will support you in leading the most authentic life that resonates with you.
