Alexander Edwards is a Clinical Psychologist and Licensed Clinical Social Worker, with a specialty in forensic & crisis mental health services. After graduating in 2006 he went on to work with the Los Angeles County Probation Department Challenger Memorial Youth Center(CMYC), juvenile detention camps, where he worked with juveniles who suffer from various trauma’s, prior to him moving to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Mental Evaluation Team (MET), a program that responded to mental health 911 calls throughout the County of Los Angeles. Alexander also completed his doctoral internship in psychology at the Sexual Volient Predator(SVP) program at Patton State Hospital. Alexander is also an Adjunct professor at California State University, Los Angeles Department of Social Work. In addition, Alexander has served as a supervisor for the Enhanced Out-Patient Program with the California Department of Corrections & Rehabilitation, (CDCR), at the Substance Abuse Treatment Facility, (SATF) & Prison, where he facilitated the implementation for the Gender Affirmation program, that conducts the psychological evaluation and treatment of transgender male to female within the California prison system. Alexander provides training to the Federal Bureau of Investigations,(FBI), Special Agent training academy mental health module. Alexander has maintained a private consultation practice that serves Kaiser Permanente Psychiatric Evaluation Team (KPET).
